Praise Chapel is passionate about young people, a fact that is clearly evident from its dynamic youth ministry which is a large vibrant and dynamic growing youth group.
TIC's objectives are to build, motivate, inspire, encourage and develop teenagers to have a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
We do this through a contemporary, creative and innovative style. A combination of fun and personal participation is encouraged within our lessons through the use of multi-media, class discussions and interactive teaching methods.
Our primary aim is to help teenagers to be successful, confident and competent in all aspects of their lives. This is done through bible based teaching, so they can win on every side. We build their confidence by bringing out their talents and abilities that they have on the inside.
TIC has become a spiritual hub and pastoral haven for a significant number of ‘churched’ and ‘unchurched’ youngsters.
Friday Open HouseIn addition to our regular Sunday services, we also have a Friday Open House. This is a night where Christian teenagers can come to a safe environment and have fun through numerous activities such as: • Games Nights – these sessions we have decks and mics to MC with, play stations, board games, bowling, cinema nights and more . . .
• Hot Talks – help deal with social issues that concern young people through discussion forums and teaching.
Many of the current members have grown up through the various stages of Praise Chapel’s Children’s Ministry whilst others, with no church-going background, have been invited by friends and keep coming back.
Pastor Jayne Banful heads up the ministry and is supported by an enthusiastic and energetic team of volunteer youth workers. L.O.U.D. EventThis is a major event that the TIC teenagers put on each year called L.O.U.D. (Live Out Ur Destiny). The teen’s co-ordinate and take part in this event, from the promotion of the activities that take place, to choosing the Rap, dance, drama, guest Christian Rap artists and prize give-aways on the night.
It is truly an electrifying event, which has drawn hundreds of teenagers, for a night of fun from all over London. Come along and be part of a group of Christian teenagers who have great fun and love God at the same time.
